We all have that one friend or family member whose signature scent is distinct that everywhere they go, that they get asked what perfume they are wearing.
You might be wondering, did they spray the entire perfume bottle, bathe in it or maybe they carry a bottle everywhere? Well, they maybe doing at least of the options or maybe none at all.
The question then is – is it cost efficient? Well definitely not. There are very simple steps you can take to make your perfume last longer and probably for a whole day
SPRAY ON YOUR PULSE POINTS
Your pulse points are your neck, below your midriff, calves & knees, behind your ankles, inside your elbows and your wrists. These points are the warmest on your body and will diffuse the scent from your perfume naturally throughout the day as your pulse quickens and slows.
STOP RUBBING YOUR WRISTS
When you do this you are destabilizing the perfume compounds making the scent dissipate quicker. Instead spray on your wrists, then press down with your palm or just let it sit on your skin. Applying Vaseline or unscented moisturizer on your wrist before spraying your perfume also helps to trap the fragrance in.
STORE THEM PROPERLY
We all like to display our perfume collection openly for the world to see but it’s time to stash those bottles. When perfumes are stored in light bottles (crystal or light glass) it’s breaks down more easily. Store your perfumes in a cool dark place to keep them in their full strength, bring out to apply when needed.
RE-APPLY THE RIGHT WAY
If you own a perfume with a light scent and will love to carry it whenever you go out. You can invest in a mini version or a sample version of your perfume for easy application.
