A lot has happened this year 2020 and I constantly find myself being grateful for where i am and how far God has kept and preserved I, my family, friends and even you reading this.

Honestly, between the many events happening around the world right now, you’re probably feeling a little fatigued. In situations like this, it’s important to remember to take care of yourself and take the time you need to recharge your batteries so that you can go back out and continue doing your work to your fullest capability.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to round up a few self care tips that have helped me over the past few months.

Get some exercise

Whenever you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed, take a break and sneak a workout in. It doesn’t even have to be too long — even 15 or 20 minutes of cardio can help get your blood flowing, your heart pumping, and your endorphins rushing. These feel good hormones will keep you upbeat

Even if you can only dedicate five minutes or so to let your mind rest, I think it’s a really important thing for you to do. Meditation really allows you to zone out and take some time to center yourself, no matter how hectic your life is. You can also write out your feelings in a journal, this is something i call a brain dump. It helps to release any tension or tightness we might feel.

Go Out Into Nature

I’m so lucky to live in a small town, and my father’s compound is filled with trees just like I usually share snippets on my Instagram stories. Breathing in fresh air and going even a day without seeing towering buildings or the honking of cars can work wonders for your mental health.

Indulge in Some R+R

I firmly believe that one of the best ways to take care of yourself is to indulge in a little beauty-fueled R+R. Whether you’re masking your hair or face, getting a facial, doing a body scrub, or anything else, take some time to pamper yourself. You’d be amazed how much of a difference those 10 minutes (or more) of you time can make.

See you tomorrow
