5 Tips On How To Remain Positive

These past couple of weeks have been really intense. The whole world has been under a lot of pressure because of Covid-19, a lot of us are practicing social distancing and many are currently working from home; some have been laid off from work or are currently not going to be paid until things begin to cool off.

Being positive and staying positive in situations like this can seem impossible but it’s definitely possible. Staying positive is something ‘I’m still working on my self’ but following the 5 tips in this post has made it easier for me to stay positive.

TIP #1

Surround yourself with positivity. Get rid of anything that speaks negativity, listen to messages, watch videos or read books that builds your faith. This transforms your thought pattern and your actions too. Find people that are a joy to be with and whose loving presence encourages you to always be at your best.

TIP #2

Develop a morning routine. I have been working from home for about 4 months now and implementing a routine to my mornings has been one of the best things I have done for myself. It gives me structure and helps to start the day on a good note. My morning routine usually starts with prayer & bible study, then I create a to-do list, exercise, make breakfast and then start my work for the day.

TIP #3

Express gratitude. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity and build strong relationships. It helps us to savor the good things in our lives and see them as gifts. We can give gratitude to God, family members, friends, neighbors, government etc We sometimes tend to focus on the negative as humans but gratitude reminds us that we are more blessed than we think.

TIP #4

De-clutter your space. It’s amazing what a clean and organized workspace or environment can do for your outlook.

TIP #5

Spread positivity. Something as small as giving a compliment or guiding someone who is lost can be a way to spread a little bit of positivity. When we make people happy, we are sowing seeds of happiness into our lives automatically.
