It’s that time of the year, where most folks are winding down and making plans to spend time with friends and family. For my family, we tend to spend this holiday season indoors (except we have to leave the house for one event or the other). We would seat in the living room looking for movies to watch and spend time laughing, commenting and remembering things we all used to do when we were younger. I have watched my fair share of Christmas movies because of this, so let’s say I might be an expert. For me, most times I start watching my Christmas movies from November all thanks to Hallmark movies and The universal channel on YouTube and DSTV (cable for those of you outside Nigeria & Africa). Let me share with some of my favorite movies & tv shows, as well as some that I am planning to watch this month! I find most of my movies on Netflix or I search for it on YouTube.
MOVIES YOU CANT AFFORD TO MISS.
HOME ALONE: If you haven’t watched this….where have you been living. It’s about Kelvin (Macaulay Culkin) a young boy who is accidentally left behind when his family takes off for a vacation in France over the holidays. He finds himself intertwined with some burglars in the neighborhood….which leads to a whole lot of laughter. It leads to Home Alone 2 then 3-4.
BEST MAN HOLIDAY 2: All you need are four words; Morris Chestnut & Taye Diggs. Go and watch this!!
WHY DID I GET MARRIED: Four couples agree to meet up to spend the holidays together but then secrets come out….it’s all about the importance of trust, love and loyalty in a relationship. Also Tyler Perry is in this movie.
MOVIES I WANT TO WATCH ON NETFLIX
THE KNIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS: Medieval magic sends a 14th century knight to modern Day Ohio, where he falls in love with a high school teacher who’s disillusioned by love.
A CHRISTMAS PRINCE: A ROYAL BABY: The third in the series. It’s about the people of Aldovia expecting the royal baby but first Queen Amber must save her family and kingdom by unwrapping a monarchy mystery.
TV SHOWS TO CATCH UP ON
DYNASTY SEASON 3: The carringtons are back at it. Is there going to be a new face, what’s going to happen to Blake. Would Fallon & Liam weather the storm.
MARLON: After the friendliest divorce ever, a carefree but devoted father (Marlon Wayan….yep he is a wayan, so you know it’s going to be funny) navigates Post-split parenting life with his level headed ex-wife and two children.
So that’s it….well maybe not. I am still going to find something else to watch probably through your recommendations in the comments below! Have you watched any these shows?
