““Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation].” – MATTHEW 11:28 AMP
Take your fears or anxiety to God and ask Him why you feel this way every time. Sometimes we might not be walking in God’s purpose in our life. Which might bring about the uneasiness. Pray and ask Him for what you can do to see everyday as a blessed day. Note that not everyone feels this way on Mondays, not everyone is counting down to Fridays. Ask Him to re-align your steps. Let’s say you are actually in line with God’s plan for your life, still ask Him to remove the spirit of heaviness you feel on Mondays.
2. Take a deep breath
Sometimes it could be because you are nervous about what you want to achieve that week at work, try practicing these breathing technique;
Place your hand on your belly and take a deep breath through your nose filling your lower lungs, expending your belly not your chest. Exhale slowly and repeat. Do this a few times until your breath stabilizes.
3. Start of your day with music.
Turn on the volume (well it depends on your environment, you don’t want your neighbors complaining) of your favorite playlist. Listen to it, dance if you want to.
4. Speak and surround yourself with positivity.
You can also start your day with positive affirmations or listening to motivational podcasts or videos. Here are a few I listen to.
5. Get enough sleep.
Sometimes the reason you are feeling stressed is probably because you haven’t slept well. I recommend getting at least 8 hours sleep the night before the new work week. Typically this works for me, I discovered when I am well rested on Sunday i am well energized to take on the new week.
