I love me a good pair of jeans because I wear them almost every week. I am lucky enough to work in an organization where causal workwear is encouraged, which brings in my favorite fashion staple ‘Jeans’. Over the years I have worn and found a couple of pairs of jeans that can be worn all year round, they remain ever stylish and can be dressed up or down.
Not so Basic Jeans
Jeans can be boring or like most minimalist say ‘basic’ but lately designers have been changing the narrative with unique designs like this by the way Leona stripe denim and this Blanknyc high rise skinny jeans. I love the casual feel and it’s perfect for the athlesuire look. There are various options available; you can try the lace up side seams for a modern twist or the ribbed and distressed hem for an edgy look. Have fun with it!
Wide leg Jeans
This is the way relaxed version of the skinny jeans. Whenever I see fashion icons like Tracee Ellis Ross style it with basic tee, my head screams ‘she is too cool’ This pair from forever 21 currently has my heart!
A wardrobe staple – Straight Jeans
The favorite of many fashion insiders like Marilyn Monroe and Katie Holmes. It’s meant to be worn slouchy and relaxed but it doesn’t necessarily mean it should be baggy. If you want to flatter your figure and you generally prefer fitted and tailored clothing, choose a slimmer and more structured boyfriend jean.
Yes! White! I know you are probably scared and a number of ‘what if’s’ are running through your mind. It’s still that sought after pair of jeans. They are perfect for summer whether as shorts or full length jeans. Just avoid buying them in skinny leg shapes because they are really hard to pull off. Wear it with a basic tee or shirt with slides or sandals
Do you have any of these jeans in your wardrobe and which would you love to add to your wardrobe?
Till next time
