Its 4:30 am my alarm goes, i press snooze and by the time i open my eyes again its 5:00am. I hurridly jump out of bed, grab my bible, journal and mobile phone. Turn up the music on my favorite worship playlist while my kettle is on the burner [Np: Worship Rise by Travis Greene ]
Spend sometime with God before the water boils and i go take my bath *meanwhile breakfast is the least on my mind right now* Get out of the shower and get dressed and my makeup done, drinking a cup of tea [with three cubes of sugar and two teaspoons of milk please]. By the time i am leaving the house its already 7:00 am. I am already late for work. On the road and i am stuck in traffic and get to work 9:00 am. Its 7:00pm and i am home, having bossed the day, made new friends and connections, and i spend the night catching up my favorite tv series.
How was i able to make new friends and bossed the day, its because i let the best version of me shine throughout the day and not let my irritation overshadow me.
Who are you
Before we get down to the best version of you. Ask yourself who are you? Whats the best side of you? Mine would definitely be different from yours. Mine is that i can be really friendly and try as much to put a smile on someone’s face, laughing. For you it could be that side that stays confident and upbeat no matter what life throws at you.
I like to pick out my outfits for the next day the night before so i dont have to worry about that the next morning [even the bag i have to carry too], my to-do list for a new week is usually done on a sunday night. This reminds me of a post i wrote on how to be organized. I try to get a lot done during the weekend which helps the week run smoothly
Be your most beautiful self
What makes you feel beautiful? Mine is well tailored outfits, simple accessories and a scent to die for [not literally die]. When you know what makes you feel beautiful, bring that out every day. It would boost your confidence level.
Stay at your best
What makes you switch from your best version, figure it out and try to work on it. For me its tiredness, when i am tired i get irritated. When that happens i listen to calming music or worship music [i just listen], take deep breathes, sometimes take a nap. Figure out what works for you.
